I focus my attention on the investigation of the nature of the creative process and constant reinvention. My work is a field of experimentation without undergoing stylistic ties. I am determined not to fall into creative stagnation. I like to surprise myself and my public. I begin working from the subconscious, without having made preliminary sketches. The first brushstroke of the selected colour gives the direction. I improvise constantly, instinctively adding seemingly childish lines with touches of colour through the use of expressive brushstrokes or simply splashing, letting the paint dribble right down. Drawn lines, letters, coloured spots penetrate in layers. I incorporate different techniques and media using various tools, everything is allowed in my creative work. ‘The sky has no limit!’ That’s how I demonstrate my artistic freedom trying evolve towards a more personal style that I can completely identify with. It is all about de composition and colour. The typography is mostly without meaning, but it has an important visual aspect. Influenced by living in four countries (Poland, Ireland, Brazil and Belgium), using four languages, I don’t want to glorify any. By not providing a defined meaning of typography, it positively confuses viewers and gives them even more freedom in their perception. Written letters are inspiration from dedications on old photos (I love this combination!) or saved fragments of written notes, often difficult to read. There is something mysterious about them. Numbers are very important to me because they are inseparably connected to us: they define our existence and everything around us. Use of colour contrast, the dense, expressive brushstrokes and inclusion of wavy lines generate a sense of movement. The stencilling technique or graphic elements balance them out and in the end, help achieve the intended harmony.
